Nova isn’t sure if she’s going to find Tam or not as she heads into the woods looking for a demon-horse and a white wolf that her best friend, magic-curious scientist Tat, told her about. Her longtime friend and crush, Tam (they/them pronouns) is a werewolf who hasn’t been seen in several years. Plot Summary: Nova is a young witch, who works in the bookstore which her grandmothers share. There are some frightening elements to the story Barnes and Noble recommends Mooncakes for ages 13-16 (Barnes and Noble, n.d.). There is also discussion of gender identity.
